1940- The BQE is proposed by Robert Moses. I am very much interested in the connection between the BQE and the Promenade. The controversy surrounding the construction of the BQE was interesting to research.

1950- The Brooklyn Heights Promenade was opened to the public. I was surprised to find that there is a lot of cool history around the Promenade. The Promenade has historical connections to BQE, civil rights, and Native Americans.

1971- The Brooklyn Navy Yard reopens and is a “City-owned industrial park” and is now managed by CLICK (Commerce Labor and Industry in the County of Kings). I would love to use the history of the Navy Yard in connection with the history that I have learned (war). -Nicole Harmantzis
